I somehow accumulated a bunch of new makeup this month and I've been lacking inspiration on the December favorites front, so I thought I would talk you through these instead. There's a mixture of more high end and drugstore products, so hopefully a little something for everyone.
First, I'd been wanting to try the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade for ages as it's one of those products that everyone seems to talk about. In case you're unfamiliar, it's a gel consistency and you can use an angled brush to apply small amounts at a time since it's super pigmented and can look harsh if you aren't careful. Otherwise it looks amazing and fills in the gaps in your brows better than a powder would.
I also picked up a couple of Mac products - the 217 Blending Brush and the Soar Lip Pencil. Again, the brush is used by pretty much all of the big beauty bloggers and my eyeshadow brush collection is seriously lacking, so I thought I would start with this one. The lip pencil is a really pretty dark pinky nude shade - you can see swatches of everything at the end.
Another product that I got on the recommendation of a YouTuber is the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. I have naturally dark under eyes which can be really hard to cover, but I'm really liking this so far. It's quite a thick consistency which provides a lot of coverage and it's meant to be anti-aging and to not crease, but I haven't worn it for long enough to vouch for that yet. I got the shade light which is definitely super light, but with enough blending it provides that ever so popular bright under eye effect.
The rest are from Nyx, which I love because it's super cheap yet usually pretty good quality. I got two of the Jumbo Eye Pencils in the shades Slate and Purple Velvet. I've been using their eye pencils for a while now and I think they're amazing for lining the bottom lash line or as a shadow base. I also got the Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in the shade Stone Fox, which is a dark blueish grey that I'm obsessed with but is probably not for everyone. It's pretty easy to apply and dries matte- the only thing is that it dries a bit sticky, but not enough to deter me from wearing it. Lastly I got the Liquid Crystal Liner in the color Crystal Hip, which is a clear gel with glitter in it. Apparently people have had issues with this irritating their eyes so I'm not sure I can recommend it for that, but I only intend to wear it for NYE as a glittery highlight.
