As I said in my last post, during my Vegas trip my family and I stayed at The Elara, as we do every year. It opened at least a few years ago but it's one of the newer hotels compared to some and it's connected to Planet Hollywood. It has doors that open straight into the Miracle Mile Shops, which is convenient if you want to do some shopping without really having to go anywhere. There's also a full Starbucks in the lobby, which is perfect for coffee addicts like myself.
It has quite a large lobby/downstairs area but no casino, so it doesn't really get rowdy in case you're looking for more of a quiet place to go back to. However, you can easily go into Planet Hollywood if you do want to go to the casino, so it's kind of the best of both worlds. As for the rooms, my family always gets the two bedroom suite with a living room and kitchen. The kitchen is nice and spacious with a large refrigerator and all of the cooking essentials in case you don't want to eat out for every meal. The living room has a pull out bed and an automatic screen to cover the windows that doubles as a projection screen for the TV, which is really cool.
The two bedrooms are pretty big as well; one has more of a full bathroom and a hot tub, while the other has its own smaller bathroom. The large bathroom also has a washer/dryer, so the room literally has pretty much everything you could possibly need. I somehow always get designated to sleep on the sofa bed, which could be more comfortable, but it's cool to have my own little area in the living room where I can sit in bed and see the awesome view right next to me. Please excuse the fact that I decided to take these photos after we had already made a bit of a mess and the extreme brightness coming from the open windows. Hopefully it gives you a good idea of what the rooms are like anyway.
