It's monthly favorites time again! I feel like I didn't try too many new things in January in terms of beauty/skincare and such, but I have been obsessed with some awesome new music and TV shows so I suppose I'll mostly talk about those. To start off, my fashion favorite is definitely my new rings from The Great Frog which you can read more about in my last post. I also got a couple things from Sephora when I was in Las Vegas which you can read about in this post, but I loved the Sephora Collection Rose Face Mask and YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch. The mask is a sheet mask that smells amazing (like roses, obv) and feels really hydrating and moisturizing. The Touche Eclat is awesome for highlighting and adding a touch of coverage. I've also been collecting some cute little patches from Etsy to add to my denim jacket.
Onto my favorite part: music and TV! I feel like I'm a bit late on this but I've been absolutely obsessed with Grimes' newest album Art Angels. I'm not really familiar with her older stuff but I think this album is so unique and different from anything else I've heard before. Some of the songs are a bit on the weird side and some are really catchy, but I think she created something really amazing. My favorites are "Kill V. Maim", "Flesh Without Blood" and "California". Zayn also released his first single "Pillowtalk" at the end of January and I haven't stopped listening to it since. It's more R&B and obviously really different from anything he did in the band and I'm sure the rest of the album will be equally if not even more amazing.
For TV, I was obsessed with Making A Murderer like just about everyone else. It's a Netflix documentary series about a guy named Steven Avery who wrongfully went to prison for rape and then when he got out, he was accused of murder as well. It follows his trial and his quest to prove that he's innocent, which I believe he is. It's really eye opening and scary to think about what kinds of things go on in the system that we never find out about. I also watched the entire series of The Walking Dead in probably a little over a week because I was so obsessed. It's another thing that I had heard about all the time but never bothered to watch, and then I started it and ended up watching 6 or 7 episodes a day over the holidays. I'm sure you're aware that it's about the zombie apocalypse and a group of people trying to survive it, and the characters are just awesome and the story is always really intense. I could honestly talk about TV shows all day but I'll stop there, as usual you can see more photos of everything after the jump!
