As someone who has been 100% on board with the liquid lipstick hype over the last year or so, I've been interested in Kylie Jenner's range since she came out with them. I think some of her shades are really pretty, specifically Candy K and Dolce K, but I never purchased any of them for myself for some reason. I got my friend one as a Christmas present and have seen my friends use them and they look nice, but I was more interested in buying others like Kat Von D's and Jeffree Star's until I saw the metal mattes (although I do find it suspicious that she released them a little while after Jeffree posted a preview of the same sort of lipstick). Anyway, his aren't out yet so I was really anxious to get some of Kylie's. Red isn't really my color so I got the two others - Heir and King K. I had no trouble at all buying them and I'm not sure how fast they sold out considering these sort of shades probably aren't for everyone.
First up, Heir. This is a really pretty peachy pink shade with a metallic finish (obviously the whole idea behind the metal mattes) and as you can see I'm very pale, so it looks brighter on me than it might on others. I wasn't expecting it to be quite as bright and it looks even more so in real life. I think the formula of this one is a bit patchier than King K for some reason and it's a little difficult to get a really even finish. It does dry matte but if you touch your lips it will still transfer a bit, which I guess is fine if you don't mind touching up every once in a while. However, it's not extra matte so it doesn't feel too drying on the lips. Overall it's a really pretty shade and I think it'll look nice in the summer.
King K is definitely my favorite of the two shades. I was expecting it to be a lot more gold like it looked in some of her swatches, but it's super bronze on me, which I actually ended up really liking. As I said, the formula feels thicker than Heir's and it's easier to get a nice even application. I did have the same issue with it coming off a bit even after it dried though. Overall this is a great stand out shade and definitely adds a little something extra to your look, and I'll probably wear it a lot more than Heir. I had intended to post some photos that I took on my SLR which were better quality, but in the end the photos I took on my iPhone showed the colors much more accurately.
Let me know if you've tried any of her lipsticks and if these are something you'd try!
