Instagram + Life Update

Sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks! I'm having another one of my "uninspired by my blog" phases and to be honest my heart just hasn't been in it lately. I'm definitely not going to abandon my blog forever or anything, but posts are probably going to be a bit sparse until further notice. If inspiration happens to hit, I'll post, and if not, I won't. However I am off on my next adventure this weekend to Banff, Canada so I'll definitely be taking a lot of photos there. I much prefer to do travel related posts rather than beauty and such, so expect to a post or two about that by hopefully next weekend.

In the meantime, I'm studying up to get my insurance license which I think has the potential to turn into a nice job for me for the time being. I don't know if you remember, but a little while ago I posted about being torn about whether or not I should go to grad school in London, and I pretty much have decided that I want to. I can start applying in October and start the following October, which is quite a long way away but I think it'll go by fast enough. I actually have another trip to Paris and London planned in October as well, which I'm beyond excited about and I can't wait to share my experience.

One thing I have been inspired by lately is my Instagram. Taking photos is something that I'll always love doing and for me, planning + editing my photos is kind of like a creative process for me and I actually like how it's turning out for once. If you'd like to see more and follow along, you can do so over at @dannifred! I've been enjoying following a lot more bloggers recently so I'd love to check yours out in return. PS. The first two photos aren't up on my page yet but I thought I'd give you guys a little sneak peak. Oh and I almost forgot, I dyed my hair silver! This is the first time in a while I've actually liked my hair color and I think it looks a lot more put together but still edgy. I don't know if I'll feel like doing a post about it but if enough of you are interested I will! Bye for now!

Danielle

  4. It's okay, I'm sure we all have gone through the "uninspired" blogging phase lately. It's nice to take a break and enjoy life rather than sitting here making a post sometimes. And inspiration often comes randomly when we least expect it. I'm quitting my job this week, and I'm looking forward to explore some more and possibly move to a bigger city in the next month or two. Hope to also join the silver hair club :) Good luck on your licensure exam, I'm sure you'll do great!

  8. Good luck getting your license! I think there's so much pressure to blog consistently these days, but the best posts are the ones that are published because you genuinely want to, not out of obligation. Looking forward to posts from Banff! :)

  23. Hope you have a great time and find some peace. I understand not wanting to do blogging when your hearts not in it. I've been there too many times. Love your insta feed, Eat, Pray, Love was such a good read. You should read Elizabeth Gilbert's book on marriage, certainly an interesting read. I'm following you on insta mine is @soniakareena!

  27. IMHO, it's always best to wait for inspiration to hit rather than forcing it just to get posts out. The posts that read well are the ones that you are inspired to write. That being said, Instagram is a great place to get creative with photos! Some of the most amazing photography is on that platform.

    1. I definitely agree, it's better to just not post than to post something that you're going to be unhappy with later. I've done that before and ended up just deleting a bunch of posts, so I'm much happier doing what I'm doing now.
